I have a few questions that need answers.
So basically I bought the game when it first came out and then quit and played WoW. Now I'm back 3 expansions later and I need to know some information to help me achieve some high end goals . I play a W/Ele and Im planning on going going fire spec and Swordmanship. So i can do alot of burst dmg.
1. By reaching lvl 20 and obtaining all the skills i need for my War/Ele in the PVE section of the game, I will have access to my skills for the PVP section of the game? 2. How and Where can i obtain the best weapons available to my class? 3. What enchants, runes ect. should i use for my class and how would i obtain these? 4. Are there Items in the PVE section of the game that i can use in the PVP section of the game like the skills? 5. If i need to know more about farming materials to create weapons and armor where can i find this out at? Like is there a website that can provide me with a guide to doing this? 6. In order to obtain certain skills and weapons do i need to purchase the expansions? 7. What is a hero and what exactly have i missed in the last 3 expansions? (please keep the answer to that question summerized not detailed.) So in general I have a season 3 geared rogue from wow, a season 1/2 geared hunter from wow and a s1 geared mage from wow. Ive been playing video games my entire life and i can learn quick. This game just kinda stumps me tho since its completely different from wow. 1. Yep, all skills that you unlock thru pve are available in pvp.
2. Anywhere. You get weapons as drops from monsters or you can buy from a weapon trader in town or a collector or from other players. 3. Rune Trader. As a warrior you can only wear warrior runes and cross class runes like vitae and vigor. Read up on runes at Wiki. It's a complicated subject for beginners. 4. Most items from pve can be used in pvp. The only exceptions are consumables that give you powerup bonuses and pve only skills. 5. Just check the crafting materials trader and rare materials traders. They have all the mats you need. Don't buy from them though unless you really need to. You'll collect a lot of mats as drops and you can salvage mats with a salvage kit available from merchants. Now for the question you didn't ask: That Warrior/Ele that you are describing is actually a very bad idea. Warriors are not meant to be eles. If you want to do a lot of fire damage then create an ele. Don't try to force a warrior to do a job he isn't meant for. Fire spells take a lot of energy to cast and warriors have very little energy. You'll discover this soon enough, but I hope I've saved you a lot of frustration. |

Also check the wiki for information about weapons. Once you have a maximum stat weapon for your profession, there is nothing higher.
The upgrades and modifications change it to suit your build, but there is nothing with more damage. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Weapons

Ok I'm understanding somewhat of this now. But about the runes how many runes can i equip to my armor, i understand how stacking works in this game too and how it doesnt work. but how many runes can i add to 1 piece of armor? Also can I add insignia's to armor pieces at the same time i have runes added to the armor pieces?

Each armor piece takes one rune and one insignia. Insignias are prefix, runes suffix, so you could have a Sentinal's Ascalon Armor of superior Vigor - that's an Ascalon Armor piece with a Sentinal's insignia and a rune of sup vig.
